Q?

Can I join an All-Star team in the middle of a season?

A.

Yes, providing that the team has available spots, and your child has the skills for the level of that team.

Q?

If my child has no experience, can they still be on a team?

A.

Absolutely!  K&K Elite Cheer has a team for everyone.  In the All-Star world, they compete by levels and age groups.  We build our teams each year using the USASF-approved age grid, and look at all of our athletes to build successful teams for each level.  You, as a parent, would make the decision whether you would like your child to be on a traveling or non-traveling team.  Tumbling experience is not needed; we provide each athlete with a tumbling contract and they participate weekly in a tumbling class for the level they are working in.  This why we can have a level 1 team (Beginning Level Team) in any age, or an advanced level team for very experienced athletes in a Level 5/6 team at any age.

Q?

What is the difference between traveling and non-traveling competitive teams?

A.

The difference at K&K Elite Cheer is that our traveling teams typically do 7 to 9 competitions each year.  Most of these competitions are local, but there are two of these competitions are hosted out-of-state.  Our non-traveling teams perform at two local competitions only, typically in the spring.

Q?

What is competitive All-Star cheerleading?

A.

All-Star cheerleading is a competition sport that involves boys and girls performing a 2 min and 30 second routine composed of stunts, tumbling, pyramids, jumps, cheer segments, and more.  Being a part of this sport takes a lot of dedication and commitment.  The season typically begins in May and continues through the following May.  Competition season begins around November and typically ends in late April or early May.  Teams typically practice one to three days each week for 1 1/2 to 2 hours per day.

Q?

Do you have a referral program?

A.

Yes!  Our referral rewards are offered to anyone who refers a new student.  After the new student has been in the gym for three months, we will credit you a one month tuition amount that is equal to the class that the new student signed up for when they enrolled with K&K Elite Cheer.  As an example, if you refer a new student to tumbling, you would receive a $50 credit toward your tuition after the third month of their enrollment.  We always appreciate referrals because that is our number one source of advertising in our business.

Q?

How long does my child have to stay in each class level before advancing to the next level?

A.

Advancing depends on the student and the coach.  Every student advances and learns on their own abilities.  Coaches will always be focusing on achieving the skills needed to get to that next level.

Q?

How do I know if my child is advancing to the next level?

A.

Our coaches will do periodical evaluations of each student, and will communicate the results of the evaluation back to the parents to let you know how your child is performing in each class.

Q?

What if I need to drop a class?

A.

K&K Elite Cheer requires a written 2-week notice to be turned in to the front desk.

Q?

If I miss a class, do I have to pay for that class, and/or are there make-up classes I can take?

A.

All of our classes are on a monthly cycle.  If you miss a class due to sickness or excused absence, you have two weeks to schedule a make-up class.  All make-up classes need to be scheduled with the front desk prior to attending that class, so we can maintain our student coach ratio.

Q?

Holiday and gym closure dates?

A.

K&K Elite Cheer is closed for two weeks over yearly winter breaks, Labor Day, Memorial Day, Independance Day and Thanksgiving.  If your class falls within one of these holidays, we will work with you to schedule a make-up class to ensure you receive a full month of classes.

Q?

Are classes paid by the class or by the month, and is there a registration fee?

A.

All of our classes are paid by the month.  There is a registration fee due at the time you register for your first class, and then must be renewed annually from that date.  Once you are registered, you are a member of the gym and are entitled to all of the benefits our gym has to offer.

Q?

Are all classes the same price?

A.

Yes!  There are a few exceptions but the majority of the classes are the same price.

Q?

Do you offer sibling discounts?

A.

Yes, we do offer a 10% discount.  We also offer additional discounts on Registration Fees!

Q?

Are your coaches certified instructors?
